You are never to old to set a goal

How old is to old to set a goal? I believe everyone has set some kind of goal in their life. It don't have to be announced just something that you personally would like to see happen in your life time. I was in my forties when I decided to go back to school for a degree. It wasn't exactly for a promotion in my career it was for me. It was something I needed for confidence. It has not been easy but I found out that I am stronger than I thought I was.
Going back to school is hard work. It is hard trying to balance everything. The one good thing I have going for me is I don't have any small children. My son is all grown-up and I don't have to worry about his homework or fixing his dinner. He although had to help me with my homework. I remember the time my son was helping me when I was having problems with Algebra and ask the question Why do I need this stuff I would never use it? His respond was " You need to learn it and stop complaining. That is what you use to tell me". So I guess I had to eat my own words. I still have four classes to finish before I receive my degree. My first goal was to accomplished this before 50. That did not happen so I just change my goal to 55. One nice thing about goals you can always change them. My new goal is to run in a marathon. I believe in two rules in setting goals don't let age stop you and don't let anyone tell you that you are to old. Let that motivate you in setting a record.
